Zen Team Takes to the Heights

For our most recent team outing, picked by Jen, we went to Climbing the Walls in Shrewsbury to have a go at rock climbing.

Upon arriving, we were a little blown away with the scale of the walls – they looked so much taller in person than on the photos, and it was clear by the immediate facial expressions of the team staring upwards that some of us were less eager than others…

It was the first time any of us had tried it but there were some naturals (cough cough spiderwoman Rhi, and spidermen Alan and Chris). The rest of us – not so much!

Though the rope and safety harnesses are tested within an inch of their life, and bring you to the ground safely to a halt, for some (including me to start with) there is a moment’s hesitation before letting go of the wall and trusting the equipment to work when you needed it to.

But overall, it was a great team building experience and one we’d highly recommend!
